I have been painting and drawing florals and portraits since I was very young. From the very beginning, it has always been exciting, even surprising, to see a likeness appearing on the paper before me. I love to paint something that inspires me, something that I find challenging, like the fur of a fluffy bird, a colorfully textured peacock, creases and folds of a silk cloth lying on a table, or a mysterious starry night, an Indian lady gracefully draped in a beautiful saree etc..  Adding textures and natural light which, in turn, add glory to the subject.
My recent contemporary Art speaks a lot about my Life experiences where I use symbols as an expression. Bold colors and indefinite strokes are used to express my emotions. I continue to experiment and explore.
Techniques
I find it amazing and I am always surprised by the outcome when I work with watercolors, which has recently become my medium of choice. I use a varied choice of colors and it depends on the subject matter that I am working on, but yes, hues of blue are my favorite. I like to glaze a color over the other and allow it to mix on paper. I also use Acrylics for a lot of my subjects, using bold colors like a strong Red with a dark Gray which allows me to catch the viewers attention.

Teaching
I love to share what I know and what I experience with Art, as teaching, in turn, teaches me a lot. Through numerous demonstrations in different mediums, classes, and workshops, I have been able to share my work and experience with others: artists' groups, schools, art fairs, and community organizations; and it is always a delight for me.

My Goal
Giving ethereal form to the aesthetic function of colors, impressions, hues, traces, wisps, lines, curves, sensations, imagination, passion and more... those are what stirs me and inspire me into celebrating life through this enchanting art form of painting. When my imaginations mesmerize me to the point where I can no longer just let it be in my heart, I steal over to the nearest canvas and unleash my soul on it. With my goal being to shower my dreams, imagination, and soul on canvas.
